Getting to Phocas Cave from the Airport

Çavuşin is often passed through on the road between Göreme and Avanos without being stayed in — the village's main St. John's Church cut into the cliff above attracts day visitors, but the number of overnight guests is small compared to its neighbours. Balloon flights over Çavuşin in the mornings are frequent; the village sits within the main Cappadocia flight zone.
